Joyce I. Cook
Joyce Cook founded IMA Payment Systems and served as CEO and President from 1986 to 1999.  She started IMA from a small startup business to become nationally recognized and successful sales organization in the electronic credit card transaction industry.

Through the direction and management of Ms. Cook IMA became much sought after organization by several public companies in the industry.  In March 1997 Ms. Cook sold her 100% ownership to a NASDAQ company but IMA continued to do business as a wholly owned subsidiary. At that time it was believed to be the largest financial transaction in Tennessee by a female business owner.  September 1998, the combined companies sold to a New York stock exchange company. (NYSEC).   

Ms. Cook resigned in 1999 in order to establish a new company, International CyberTrans, (ICT) Inc., an electronic transaction processing company with a portfolio mix which includes retail, restaurant, lodging, Internet and business to business.  ICT currently has sales offices in 10 states and is in an aggressive expansion phase.

Ms. Cook was one of 7 Founders of the Electronic Transaction Association and served a two-year term as president.  The ETA is a national association for the electronic processing industry with over 3,000 members.

Ms. Cook has also been involved with local women business owners and has been recognized among women business owner groups as a leader.   She has been a guest on radio talk shows featuring women in business and recently was awarded Tennessee’s Outstanding Achievement Award, and was nominated for Top Female Executive by National Association of Female Business Owners.

A Chattanooga native, Ms. Cook graduated with a BS Degree from University of Chattanooga, where she has established a Joyce I Cook Scholarship Fund for women applying to the School of Business.  

Ms. Cook was recently appointed to the Atlanta Federal Reserve Advisory Council.  She also serves as Secretary to the Executive Board of Directors of YMCA of Middle Tennessee where she served as the Chairperson of We Build People Capitol Campaign and currently Co-Chairs the Youth Development Multi-Million Dollars project for the YMCA and was just elected Secretary of the Executive YMCA Board.  ; She also serves on the Board of the Middle Tennessee Council of Boy Scouts of America of Middle Tennessee and the State Chair for the Society of International Business Fellows.   She recently served a 2-year term on the Development Council for the University of Tennessee.  She is the 2008-2009 President of the Northumberland Neighborhood Association.

Ms. Cook was recently asked to be the keynote speaker at Martin Methodist University for the induction of the top 20% of business students in the honor society, Beta Sigma Delta.  She was also bestowed an honorary membership into Beta Sigma Delta Honor Society.  Ms. Cook is married to Thomas W. Cook, Jr. and has 2 children, Thomas W. Cook III and Catherine Cook Krumm.
